It included an examination of various capital works projects undertaken within the Victorian public sector. Key audit findings were:
formal post-project review systems and procedures had
not been developed;
excessive delays between the date of construction completion
and the date of final payment for works contracts were excessive;
procedures to evaluate the performance of project
managers were inadequate; and
prescribed departmental procedures for the assessment
